  1. To plot the O.C.C. of a D.C. generator & find the critical resistance.
  2. To find the performance of a D.C. Series motor by conducting load test & draw the load characteristics.
  3. To measure the current, voltage across each element of R-L-C series circuit and draw the phasor diagram to calculate p.f.
  4. To find the performance of a D.C. shunt motor by conducting load test & draw the load characteristics
  5. To compute the efficiency of a D.C. motor by Swinburn's test.
  6. To control the speed of D.C. shunt motor above & below normal speed & draw the speed characteristics.
  7. To determine equivalent circuit parameters of single-phase transformer by performing O.C. test and S.C. test.
  8. To determine the regulation & efficiency of single-phase transformer by direct loading method.
  9. To operate two single-phase transformers in parallel & find out the load sharing between them.
  10. To perform heat run test of a single-phase transformer.
  11. To compute the efficiency of a single-phase transformer by Back-to-Back test.
