Engineering is a practical discipline that requires a great amount of hands-on experience along with academic knowledge. At AIEM-P we aim to equip our students with the highest quality of practical training and work experience, which would set them apart from the crowd, making them truly valuable to future employers.
We also believe in the importance of getting students to acclimatise with the setting of a workplace, where they are required to be more independent, responsible and accountable than the educational environments are accustomed to.
Last year all of our second year students successfully completed Industrial visits and training sessions in well reputed companies in their chosen field. Here they were able to observe how various types of projects are undertaken in practice, what problems might arise and the ways of tackling them. They learned to take necessary precautions while handling machinery as well as a taster of what the work environment awaits.
In the academic year 2016-17, our students undertook Industrial visits in a number of respectable local companies. This included companies of PWD Highway, PHE, Pyramid Group, Balaji, Chandra, CLW, DPL, DVC, Lafarge India, Rudra Automart Pvt Ltd, Macnally Sayaji Engineering Ltd, WBSEDCL, Prasar Bharati, BSNL, ECL, Weaver Bird Consultant Pvt Ltd, India Power, NEO Metaliks Ltd, NPTI, Shyam SEL and Power Ltd.

Now I can match theory and practical with my enhanced knowledge and skill.
I have undergone through training on Php & MySql. It was a great opportunity. Through this course I have learned to make a web page by my own. Also now I am able to develop any software with Database connectivity. This training will help me in future to be placed in good organization or to setup my own entrepreneurship.

During the training we acquired practical knowledge of telecommunication network, principal of the telecommunication engineering, mobile technologies including GSM, CDMA, and emerging trends in telecom networking. We have also visited the telephone exchange and transmission center, GSM, CDMA, NOC, and MPLS centers for practical demonstration of function and working principle.
In my training in The Durgapur Projects Limited, Durgapur, I have gained practical knowledge of transformer, Generator, Switch gears, different types of relay. I gained experience about how the electric power is generated, transmitted & distributed to different customers. A special emphasis on training has been given about the First-aid treatment of electrical shock which will be very helpful in future.
I had undergone training in Bengal construction in Kolkata, where I gained practical knowledge which enhances my theoretical knowledge. Now I can understand the things much better. This training helped me a lot to understand the theories which I learned in class. After this training, now I know how to apply those theories in practical field. I learned how to work with a team, how to communicate with colleagues, team members, seniors and with the corporate world. I also learned how to work effectively in the site, how to manage and face different difficulties in the workplace.
